“ I had a delicious lunch here today. I had the whitefish bialy and a Natalie’s Beet and orange juice. It was delicious, and light. I felt nourished but not overly carbed up. (AKA I didn’t need to pass out for a nap immediately after enjoying.) The bialy was perfectly crispy and soft at the same time, and loaded up with poppy seeds. My boyfriend got the Bat Mitzvah Showstopper. It surely stopped the show! The challah bread was HUGE. I joked that he ordered one sandwich for lunch and one for dinner. Impressively, he finished all of it. Both sandwiches were delicious and satisfying. The overall vibe of the place and fresh ingredients are thoroughly appreciated by a food and food service lover like me. ”

The staff is friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, offering great recommendations if you’re not sure what to try. ”
“ One of the best Jewels of Knoxville. Great service and great food made with excellent ingredients. So happy to have this Jewish bakery in Knoxville. Also the coffee is amazing! ”
“ This place is everything. What a gem. From the service to atmosphere to menu depth and flavor. Was in Knoxville for the first time for a short trip and we ended up coming to eat here all three days to try as much of the menu as we could. It did not disappoint and will be visiting Knoxville again to eat here. ”
“ Potchke Deli is my new favorite lunch spot in Knoxville! An absolute gem! We visited for the first time at lunch yesterday, and we immediately fell in love with this place! The building is full of character with local artwork on the walls and cute decor. We visited on a Saturday during lunch. It was very busy with the line to place our order wrapping to the door and seating was limited. However, this didn’t affect our experience at all! After ordering at the counter, our food came out in a timely manner and was amazing! We ordered the Pastrami Reuben, Matzoh Ball Soup, Turkey Melt, and the Whitefish Bialy. Everything was fresh tasting and super flavorful. I highly recommend Potchke Deli and can’t wait to dine here again soon! ”
“ Visiting Knoxville for the first time and a local recommended I try Potchke. The messed up matzo ball soup was maybe the best soup I’ve ever eaten... Also, as someone with a dairy allergy I appreciate the many options I had to choose from. Plus the atmosphere was lovely. Highly, highly recommend. ”
“ 1st time visit, and I was impressed. It was a little hard to find, not very good, signage. I was going to have to settle for something that I really didn't want until I saw the Secret menu. What an impressive sandwich the vanilla cappuccino was in an oversized cup and yummy. ”
“ One of the best lunch spots near downtown Knoxville/campus area. I have yet to try something I didn’t like, and if it comes on bread, you can’t go wrong- the bread is so fluffy and buttery. It’s the only place in Knoxville that I have found that serves an egg cream- which is one of my favorite New York drinks! Pastrami or the turkey melt are top notch if you are craving a good sandwich. ”
